Overall, the U.S. workplace is getting less dangerous as health and safety regulations continue to push down the number of workplace injuries.

To get a better understanding of where workplace accidents occur most frequently, Dolman Law reviewed the number of work-related injuries from 2016-2021.

The study found that Indiana was the safest state for workers during the period as it recorded just 27 work-related injuries. Michigan came in second with 48 reported injuries. Texas had the highest number of reported hurt employees, while Vermont had the lowest.
