More professionals prefer promotions to raises

A new survey shows employees would prefer to rise through the ranks with a promotion rather than get a bigger paycheck this year.

A Korn Ferry survey of 1,200 professionals says the majority would prefer a promotion to a raise this year.

As they focus on career advancement, professionals are looking more for prestige and recognition than money, the survey found, with 63 percent of respondents globally saying they’d rather have a promotion with no salary increase than a salary increase with no promotion.
