It’s been a busy fall for the benefits industry, especially for companies specializing in HR, retirement, and benefits solutions. Here are a few that have crossed our desk.

UnitedHealthcare announced its Family Engagement Center as part of its Special Needs Initiative. Its advisors aim to create customized care plans, help resolve unique claims issues, address gaps in care-related to social determinants of health, and provide resources to support family members’ physical and mental health.

Symetra Life Insurance Company introduced a COVID-19 deductible savings endorsement. The no-cost endorsement is being offered with all Symetra stop loss policies with effective dates from Jan. 1–March 31, 2021 in approved states.

Rippling announced a PEO aimed at helping startups to hire remotely across the U.S. and provide benefits without high costs or compliance headaches.

OneAmerica announced it was offering a free,15-page stress-reduction guide by ComPsych Corporation that provides tips for protecting mental and physical health. The free resource is downloadable here.

Nationwide partnered with Compassion Society Benefits, Inc. to introduce Caregiver Family Leave Insurance (CFL) and has created a video about one caregiver’s story.

Mesirow Financial announced that the Mesirow Retirement Advisory Services (RAS) group is partnering with plan administrator and recordkeeper Newport Group, Inc. to offer a new Pooled Employer Plan in 2021.

JPMorgan Chase launched Everyday 401(k) for small business owners to set up a 401(k) plan by selecting J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s ready-to-use solutions or by customizing their own plan. Plans start at $75 per month, and $5 per participant per month.

Evernorth, Cigna Corporation’s health services segment, is now offering an integrated fertility solution called FamilyPathSM, which includes a fertility advisor, pharmacy management, a network of health care providers, and post-birth services.

Change Healthcare launched a national data resource solution, Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) Analytics, aimed at helping health systems, insurers, and life sciences organizations explore how geodemographic factors affect patient outcomes.

Ceridian announced the launch of Dayforce Benefits Intelligence, which offers predictive tools aimed at helping employers better forecast enrollment, measure plan utilization, and manage costs. Employees can also access decision support tools to select benefits.

Betterment announced new Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) portfolio offerings, including an enhanced existing SRI offering, the Broad Impact portfolio, and two new portfolios, Social Impact and Climate Impact. The offerings will also be available to Betterment for Business and Betterment for Advisors customers.
