ORANGE, Calif., – Experian, a provider of information solutions, has spent $13.5 million for Exactis from 24/7 Media, Inc, a provider of advertising/marketing solutions. Experian will now have the e-mail marketing infrastructure to offer marketers the most effective, immediate, targeted and inexpensive way to reach consenting members and self-identified prospects online. "This acquisition reinforces our commitment to deliver turn-key marketing solutions," said Experian Marketing Solutions CEO Scot Thomas. "Permission-based e-mail marketing is a critical component of any well-tailored customer relationship management strategy."
