My vision for Credit Union Times when it was launched 11 years ago was to cover the news of the credit union industry so well that busy subscribers wouldn't have to read a multitude of other credit union publications. That vision has materialized. Credit Union Times, especially in the last several years, has come to be widely regarded as the credit union publication of record. Not surprising, a growing number of readers now regard Credit Union Times as their one-stop resource for any and all information about credit unions. We very much appreciate the compliment. One result of this confidence in our editorial product and those who produce it, however, is that our small, full-time editorial staff is now being bombarded with questions and requests for a wide variety of credit union information. Although many of these requests have nothing to do with past or planned coverage by this publication, our staff tries to handle every one of them quickly and efficiently. Some questioners need to be referred to one of the CU trade groups or CU regulatory agencies such as NCUA. Our staff is happy to do that, too. Inevitably, many such requests for information come in on deadline day, every Wednesday, and thus can't be handled immediately. Most readers are understanding that our editorial and production staff's first priorities to get each weekly issue to the printer on time. For that we say thank you. -
