DALLAS- That didn't take long. That's the feeling of Community Credit Union in Plano, Texas after over 7,000 members tried to view images of their share drafts in less than 24 hours of the CU's new online check imaging service being launched. The CU announced the new service with just one e-mail. "This has been just awesome," said Judy Parsons, VP/Director of Sales and Marketing at Community Credit Union. Parsons said the credit union has been inundated with phone calls and e-mails from members inquiring about the new service. "And they have been telling their friends and relatives to check out this new service. It's pretty cool when they are that happy." Community Credit Union is the most recent credit union to utilize the new imaging service through Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union. Southwest Corporate successfully piloted the image product last fall through Texaco Community Federal Credit Union's home banking service. Community Credit Union is a natural for the solution given that it already processes 1.2 million items a month through Southwest Corporate's share draft program. About 62% of the CU's nearly 170,000 members use its online banking system.
