Mike Welch's publisher's column on the Renaissance Commission in the June 27th issue of Credit Union Times was excellent. It hit a number of key points that, in my view, credit unions need to keep in mind about the Renaissance Commission. The report reflects input from all across the credit union community. And as the process moves forward, it will be important to put the compendium in proper perspective, recognize the need to move one step at a time, and of course stress the importance of presenting a unified message to Congress. I'll make sure my board and the Renaissance Commissioners see it if they haven't already. Dan Mica President/CEO CUNA Washington, D.C.
