North Carolina Credit Union Network, Greensboro, has recognized the efforts of four individuals in the credit union movement. The 2001 Mark of Excellence Award was presented to Members Credit Union Board Chairman John Loftin and United Services Credit Union President/CEO Marsha Honeycutt. The award recognizes those individuals who have a long and distinguished service to the credit union movement. In addition, Truliant Federal Credit Union President/CEO Marcus Schaeffer has been named the 2001 Credit Union Career Person of the Year for his exceptional leadership qualities and dedication to the credit union movement. The NCCUN also recognized the leadership abilities of Food Lion Credit Association Credit Union Board President Ronald Smith. Awards were presented during the 66th annual meeting of the North Carolina Credit Union League. Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union, Bremerton, Wash., has named Gloria Henderson "Employee of the Quarter". An employee for almost three years, Henderson was selected for her positive attitude, professionalism, knowledge, dependability and continuous support of the credit union values. KCFCU serves over 64,000 members.
