New Mercury or Mercury-On-Demand users are free to choose hardware with either Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating systems, and existing Mercury or Director 4 customers may opt to stay on Windows 2000 or upgrade to XP. Windows XP is Microsoft's long-awaited operating system upgrade that is expected to be available October 25, 2001.
