America's First Federal Credit Union, Birmingham, Ala., has reached more than $400 million in total assets. In addition, for the first time AFFCU has surpassed $300 million in loans. AFFCU serves over 93,000 members. Pinellas County Teachers Credit Union, Largo, Fla., has instituted an innovative policy that allows certain employees to telecommute, or work from an off-site location. Cristina Gonzales, a full-time copywriter is the first to benefit from the policy. She spends one day in the office per week and writes various copy at home the remaining four days. PCTCU has $288 million in assets and serves 47,893 members.
