LATHAM, N.Y. – To help build awareness, Community Resource Federal Credit Union will host a seminar for the public to learn more about the St. Catherine's Center for Children's Foster Care and Respite Care programs. St. Catherine's Center for Children is a non-profit social services agency that focuses on issues of child abuse/neglect, family reunification, mental health and homelessness. The foster care program offers foster families extensive and ongoing training, clinical services and 24-hour support. Potential foster families must be caring, patient, flexible and able to provide a consistent, predictable and nurturing home environment for foster children.
