JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The $115 million Government Employees CU of Florida, applied with the Florida Division of Banking to expand its field-of-membership to include Hillsborough County. GECU's FOM already includes Duval, Leon and Orange Counties. The CU's main office is in Duval County. GECU also already has a branch in Hillsborough County. GECU has 31,000 members. When its FOM expansion application is approved-that is expected to be by Dec. 6-the CU's potential field-of-membership will be 2.6 million members.
