Olin Community Credit Union, East Alton, Ill., has awarded HBE Financial Facilities with a design/build contract for its Bethalto branch. The new facility will be a two-story, 22,000 square-foot, steel structure with a brick exterior. The first floor will accommodate a full service branch including mortgage department and the second floor will house administrative offices including the marketing, human resources and accounting functions. In addition the branch will have four drive-up lanes and a drive-up ATM. Construction is expected to be completed early in 2002. Horizons Federal Credit Union, Binghamton, N.Y., has awarded HBE Financial Facilities a $2.598 million design/build contract for a new headquarters. Designed to complement residences and commercial structures in the neighborhood, the two-story, 12,000 square-foot building will include a 24-hour member-service vestibule, six- station teller line, employee lounge, phone center and board/training room. The existing headquarters will be razed for the new member parking lot. Construction is expected to be completed in March 2002. Safe 1 Credit Union, Bakersfield, Calif., has opened a 16,000 square-foot office in Bakersfield. The two-story facility holds a full service branch and administrative offices. AEDC Federal Credit Union, Tullahoma, Tenn., has opened a new Church Street branch that emphasizes member convenience. As the first new full-service branch constructed since 1993, it offers two drive-up lanes, an ATM and six Remote Teller System kiosks. A receptionist is in the lobby greets and assists members. AEDC FCU has more than $747 million in assets and serves 107,305 members. Brockton Credit Union, Mass., has opened a new loan center in Plymouth. The center will offer all types of personal and real estate loans including auto, bill consolidation, home improvement mortgage and equity loans. In addition the loan center will be opened during expanded hours of operation. Parkside Credit Union, Livonia, Mich., has recently held a grand re-opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The credit union celebrated the end of the successful extensive remodeling project by providing members with food and prizes for one week.
