JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Southeast Corporate recently held the grand opening for its new item processing facility in Jacksonville, but CEO Bill Birdwell said there's more to come, announcing that SECORP is planning another such facility in South Florida. "Because of our success here in Jacksonville, plans are underway to provide an additional item processing facility in South Florida," said Birdwell. Southeast Corporate's Jacksonville facility is 7,000 square-feet. It has a nine-person staff. The facility also handles share draft imaging technology. Item images are available to credit unions the next morning and are available on the Internet for up to 90 days. Images are archived and available via CD-ROM. SECORP has existing competition in the area. Jacksonville is also home to a Southwest Corporate FCU item processing facility. "Southeast Corporate will meet or beat the price on any credit union's item processing proposal. Our goal is simple: leverage cost savings created by technology to provide value-added item processing solutions to members," said Birdwell.
