ALEXANDRIA, Va.-The NCUA joined the president, other federal agencies, and nations around the globe on Dec. 11 in `The World Will Always Remember September 11′ ceremony. President George W. Bush requested NCUA and other federal agencies to participate in this worldwide initiative. NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar led the event at 8:46 a.m., marking the time of the first attack on the World Trade Center. A choir of NCUA staff joined employees in singing the "Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" at the agency's national headquarters here this morning. "The terrorists would like nothing more than for Americans to be timid and filled with fear," Dollar told employees. Together, we are exemplifying America's renewal, strength, and resolve."
