FREDERICK, Md. -The new year brings two local credit unions together. Monocacy Federal Credit Union has merged with COMSTAR Federal Credit Union.
Membership has now opened to not only military and civilian government personnel at Fort Detrick and Frederick County and Frederick City employees but also Hood College and Frederick Memorial Hospital employees. All accounts have been transferred to COMSTAR FCU.
The credit union now serves over 18,500 members and has $129 million in assets.
