<p>WASHINGTON – In 2002 there could be significant growth in the number of credit unions offering e-statements and surveying their members online, according to a Callahan & Associates research study. Callahan's Credit Union Internet Strategies 2002, found that 19% of the 238 surveyed CUs already offer e-statements, but 70% that don't offer them plan to in the next year. Approximately one-third of those surveyed said they currently survey their members online, with another 40% expecting to do so this year. The survey went to CUs with over $50 million in assets.
