<p>ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar hosted economic leaders from Kazakhstan at the agency's headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia last week. The group was expected to discuss the U.S. financial institution regulatory supervision, including enforcement and regulation compliance, human resource management, payment systems, and the regulatory structure and function of credit unions. The National Bank of Kazakhstan representatives attending included Chief Expert-Economist for the Office of Financial Groups Supervision Zhanar Kussainova and Chief Economist for the Division of Financial Services Development Ruslan Yerdenayev. They are responsible for drafting of all major regulations and operating policy for the Kazakhstan Banking and Insurance Division. In addition, they are responsible for monitoring the overall trends in the financial sector in Kazakhstan.</p>
