The second quarter of 2007 marked the fourth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth for worksite sales. According to LIMRA's Worksite survey, the second quarter's 12 percent jump was driven by a surge in voluntary health offerings.
Life insurance premiums recorded a slight bump, but health premiums rose dramatically, growing by 15 percent in the second quarter and for the year to date.
"Health offerings are clearly driving worksite's resurgence," says Ron Neyer, LIMRA worksite research senior analyst. "Voluntary life sales are improving but show now signs of making a similar dramatic recovery."
