In response to the emotional aftermath of the Nebraska mall shooting, ACI Specialty Benefits is working hand-in-hand with clients, their employees and family members to assist all those who may have been impacted. They are working closely with Charlotte Russe, for example, a retail store in the Nebraska mall, to ensure everyone receives necessary counseling.

ACI offers critical incident stress debriefing to employers across the nation and around the globe. Officials at ACI believe that if prompt trauma intervention is provided at the onset of the crisis, damaging long-term effects can be minimized and employees will be better equipped to return to their daily work routine.

"When such a horrific event like the Nebraska mall shooting occurs, people are left confused, fearful, angry, and looking for answers," says Ann Clark, CEO and founder of ACI. "For these individuals, immediate and, often times, ongoing counseling is the most effective way for them to make sense of their emotions – and the best thing employers nationwide can do is make these services available to their employees and family members. At times like these, my heart truly goes out to all those affected, and I am just grateful to be in a position to help."
