What a difference a caucus makes.
Last week I promised a look at each candidate's take on health care. But the as-yet-unthawed Iowa voters already knocked a couple of Democrats out of the running and sent another running to New Hampshire in tears.
Hillary Clinton showed some (feigned?) emotion during a Portsmouth, N.H., campaign stop on the eve of today's primary. Breaking from her tough-as-nails image, Clinton teared up, her voice cracked and a cool breeze blew through Hell. And it apparently worked, too, as she defied both the polls and pundits by upsetting Barack Obama in that state's primary by a whopping three percentage points.

HillaryCare Round Two is nothing short of mandatory universal coverage, funded by employers and the so-called wealthy. Clinton wants to fatten Medicare, as well. Oh, and the tab for all this (and more)? Somewhere around $110 billion.
She might be the weepy one now, but it's the rest of us who'll be crying later if she somehow overcomes Obama's momentum and makes it (back) into the White House.
For a more in-depth look at Clinton's plan, check out the February issue of our print edition. Until then, we'll take a look at pseudo-Republican John McCain, next week.
