I think it's time we hit the brakes. Take a deep breath. Go to our happy place. Whatever it takes.

Don't get me wrong; I want to see the economy bounce back as much as the next nervous consumer, but I think the president's plan is rife with more pork than Jimmy Dean's cellar.

Now, admittedly, I haven't paged through the entire bill that the House will vote on (and likely pass) tonight, but I can spot needless spending when I see it. (I do look at my own checkbook often enough.)
