• Two-thirds of employees at small businesses say life, disability and dental insurance are "significant drivers of their feelings of loyalty towards their employer;" 71 percent said the same of health benefits and 85 percent said the same of salary and wages.
  • Almost three-quarters of employees who are satisfied with their benefits are also satisfied with their job, compared with 22 percent who were not satisfied with their benefits, but were satisfied with their job.
  • Only one-third of small businesses think voluntary benefits are a cost-effective way to improve their overall benefits package.
