- Less than 2 percent of non-federal hospitals have a comprehensive electronic health record system in place; 7.6 percent had a basic system in place.
- Approximately 20 percent of hospitals said they had "fully implemented computerized order entry and clinical decision support."
- Over 70 percent of hospitals without an EHR said they lacked the capital to implement the technology.
