Why reform is like running a magazine

I'd like to step back from the intense debate - and the uncertain future we all face - and maybe just talk about how much this health care reform law and being an editor have in common.

Well, it’s finally law. Though it’s called the Affordable Health Care for America Act, we all know it as health care reform. Even though that’s not entirely accurate, since it’s more like health insurance reform. But I guess it’s not even that really, is it? I mean, how much reforming is really going on? Because, last time I checked, the progressives were as ticked off as the conservatives.

At any rate, I’d like to step back from the intense debate – and the uncertain future we all face – and maybe just talk about how much this health care reform law and being an editor have in common.

10. We’re both really bad at math. (At least there’s only one of me. There are hundreds of them in Washington.)
