Last week I fired off e-mails to nearly 20 different brokers. I needed sources for a story. A week later, I'd amassed a total of a single lonely reply.
I spent most of the day yesterday on the phone. I think I called somewhere between 35 to 50 brokers. And, yeah, it was for the same story.
Three of you called me back. I know the baseball season is winding down, but that kind of average won't even get you on the farm team. (And, by the way, only one of my calls received the attention of an actual human being. All of those other phone calls went straight to one voicemail or another.)

I know voluntary sales are up, but I find it incredibly hard to believe business is that good.
