Is the election over yet?
I don't know about you, but I'm so tired of all the campaign ads that I wish I had Cablevision. Or at least watched the telly from a non-battleground state.
But, no, I'm in Colorado. I get to watch Michael Bennet defend a pretty vanilla voting record. And I get to see Ken Buck compare gays to alcoholics. Why do people run for office again? And why do we keep voting for them?

At any rate, the midterms are barreling down on us and soon every headline will be about what really did happen as opposed to what might happen. Then, of course, all eyes will shift to 2012.
In the meantime, The Hill's reporting that the Beltway's biggest insurance lobbyist is laying off 10 percent of its work force. (Maybe it's an MLR issue?)
Actually, I think it's more a shift in strategy, moving from one type of advocacy to another. Would love to hear some thoughts on this from any of my carrier readers out there. I'll be watching to see how this goes.
Meantime, despite all the campaign trail rhetoric, I seriously doubt the veracity of any kind of health care reform repeal movement. A lot of the bill's provisions are already entrenched, and the president will be waving his veto pen for another two years.
So no matter what happens at the polls in a couple of weeks, I think we're going to see a series of tweaks, not an overhaul or repeal.
But we'll see.
