Benefit Express, a benefit administration outsourcing service provider, released a My Benefit Express solution process enhancement, providing the built-in capability to avoid health care claim payments for ineligible dependents.
During the dependent audit process, Benefit Express educates HR representatives as well as employees on the definition and application of an eligible dependent. It also provides a validation and updating method for carriers with eligible dependents, removes ineligible dependents from coverage, leverages benchmarking industry practices and lowers overall health care costs.
This enhancement allows employees to validate the eligibility status of all dependents during the yearly enrollment. Benefit Express also connects with all employees through its online tool, My Benefit Express, resulting in a premium reduction of over 8 percent for clients based upon erroneous dependents.
