Army cutting 500 jobs from Fort Knox

Roughly 500 jobs will be lost when the Fort Knox human resources department is scaled back to save costs. .

At least 500 jobs will disappear when the Fort Knox human resources department is scaled back to save costs. A review of the Army’s human resources functions lead to the decision to shut down the Accession Command, which controlled recruiting for the Army. The secondary commands—the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, U.S. Army Cadet Command and Accessions Support Brigade—will continue to operate.
