MassMutual's Retirement Services Division is sponsoring a webinar to help advisors better understand 403(b) plans.
The webinar, which requires pre-registration, will take place on Thursday May 5 from 12pm to 2pm Eastern time. Attendees may be eligible to receive continuing education credit.
The Knowledge Group is producing the webinar, entitled "Conquer the New World of 403(b) Retirement Plans." A panel of subject matter experts and 403(b) experts will help attendees understand the latest IRS regulations and their impact on 403(b) retirement plans. Panelists will include David Levine, principal, Groom Law Group; Brenda Van, western managing director and nonprofit market leader for MassMutual; and Lisa Murphy, senior compliance director for MassMutual's nonprofit retirement plan services market.

"This event is designed to provide advisors, plan sponsors, and other professionals a clearer understanding of the final IRS regulations impacting 403(b) retirement plans, as well as Form 5500 reporting and audit requirements," said Van in a press release. "The session will also provide an interactive question and answer period so attendees have an opportunity to address specific issues with the panelists."
Interested parties can register for the webinar online. Registration before April 25 is $199; after that, registration costs $299. Those who cannot attend the live webinar online can download a recorded copy afterwards. Advisors do not have to be contracted with MassMutual to attend.
