One-third of employers plan to drop health coverage: A report by McKinsey released this week finds that 30 percent of employers will "definitely" or "probably" stop offering health insurance after 2014. The WSJ reports that this could mean as many as 78 million people will lose employer health coverage. The White House says these claims are exaggerated and that the McKinsey report is an "outlier."
26 states v. PPACA's individual mandate: A three-judge panel from the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments in Atlanta on Wednesday on a lawsuit brought by 26 states and other parties opposed to Obama's health care overhaul. Although no ruling was issued, the judges asked pointed questions about the controversial individual mandate provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
