TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Union members are gathering in New Jersey's capital city Thursday to rally for collective bargaining.
They oppose a bill hammered out between Republican Gov. Chris Christie and Democratic legislative leaders that would remove public employee health benefits from the bargaining table.
Details of the agreement reached Wednesday haven't been released. But Christie says he's confident it will pass.

The legislation would require 500,000 public workers to shoulder a larger share of their health insurance premiums and pay more into their pension fund.
The retirement systems are underfunded by a combined $110 billion.
New Jersey is among several states where Republican governors have moved to restrict collective bargaining.
