Chicago-based Hub International Limited announced it will purchase Strategic Employee Benefits Services of Louisiana, a Metairie, La.-based benefit consulting and service firm. Terms of the acquisition agreement were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close in early August and is subject to certain closing conditions. 

Upon the closing of the acquisition, SEBS of Louisiana will become part of Hub International Gulf South. Key executives of SEBS of Louisiana will join Hub Gulf South as part of this transaction and lead the employee benefits division of Hub Gulf South.

Founded in 1991, SEBS of Louisiana is one of the largest independent benefit consulting organizations in the region, providing a wide range of customized employee benefit programs and services including group medical, consumer driven benefit plans, disability insurance plans, voluntary benefit plans, individual benefit plans, long-term care plans and worksite benefit plans through leading insurance carriers.

By joining forces with Hub, SEBS of Louisiana can offer property and casualty products and expanded risk services to clients.
