TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he's discouraged over the lack of progress made by the committee developing new health insurance plans for 800,000 government workers.
Christie accused union representatives on the committee of "dragging their feet" in developing nine new plans.
Early enrollment for employees starts in October.

The plans are required because the Legislature passed landmark pension and health benefits reforms that make benefits more expensive for public workers. The law calls for employees to have more health insurance coverage options.
Communications Workers of America state director Hetty Rosenstein says developing quality, affordable health plans takes time. She says the 12-member committee has met three times and will meet again Wednesday.
