UnitedHealthcare is now offering Dominion's Select Plan (same as a DHMO) dental product to its clients in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C. UnitedHealthcare has one of the nation's largest PPO dental networks and Dominion one of the Mid-Atlantic's largest DHMO-style networks.
The combination of Dominion's Select Plans with UnitedHealthcare's PPO and indemnity plans creates a "solid dental plan package that is poised to generate significant membership growth for both companies" by providing options to attend to employers' needs and price points, says Jeff Schwab, director of marketing for Dominion.
Features of the Select Plan include fixed member copayments, no waiting periods, no deductibles, no maximum dollar limits, no pre-existing condition exclusions and no pre-authorization paperwork or claim forms.
