If you want to make a visual impact on clients about why retirement planning should be a priority, check out the site created by graphic artist Oto Godfrey to show how deeply in debt the federal government already is today, and may be in the future: http://usdebt.kleptocracy.us

Godfrey begins with a $100 bill, and then proceeds to show in sequence how big a stack of these bills the federal debt represents.

The stack representing the current federal debt of about $15 trillion is compared in size to the Statue of Liberty and a football field. Next, Godfrey shows the stacks of $100 bills that would represent all U.S. unfunded liabilities, including future Social Security and Medicare entitlement benefits – which he and others estimate to be about $115 trillion.
