Lincoln Financial Group announced Wednesday it has expanded its Lincoln DentalConnect PPO network to include 173,000 provider locations across the country. The company also has implemented new technology that improves its dental claim management initiatives.
The improvements will offer better products for employer groups and their employees while helping to control costs, says Sue Wright, assistant vice president, dental product development for Lincoln Financial Group.
The expanded provider network adds a 32 percent increase to Lincoln Financial's nationwide network of dentists.

The technology upgrades to its dental capabilities include a new claims risk management tool to assist plan administrators and members with the rising costs of insurance. They expect the tool to help optimize its dental claims payment accuracy through advanced claims review and validation, improved data analysis, enhanced clinical review of claims and provider utilization monitoring.
The expanded dental capabilities are built upon existing claim processes, and Lincoln continues to provide dental health education for its groups' employees.
