Consumer-driven benefits provider WageWorks recently launched a new mobile application designed to minimize the claim process for health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts.
The EZ Receipts app, part of the WageWorks benefits plan, is designed to replace traditional paper filing for receipts and prescription forms that need to be submitted to the flexible spending account provider in order to substantiate expenses and pay claims.
The app is free and is available on the Apple App Store, Android Market and Blackberry App World.

Customers can take an image of their receipt or prescription, if necessary, and upload to WageWorks for claim processing. Beginning in 2011, over-the-counter medications (with the exception of insulin) need to be purchased with a prescription.

All you need to do is pick up your smartphone, take a picture of any healthcare or dependent care receipt and submit it to us. In addition to EZ Receipts, the latest version of WageWorks' mobile website enables users to verify their enrollment status, check card balances and plan details and view alerts and status updates.
