Insurance firm Neace Lukens today announced it has completed its acquisition of Berryman Insurance Agency, a full-service, independent insurance agency based in Hartford, Ky.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
It's the first acquisition of Neace Lukens since the company was bought in September by AssuredPartners Inc., a portfolio company of leading private equity firm, GTCR.

"Berryman Insurance is a natural compliment to our organization," Neace Lukens chairman and founder John Neace says. "By helping us grow in Kentucky, we are making strides to meet our long-term goal of expanding nationally. "
Berryman Insurance Agency has been in operation since 1937 and specializes in auto, home, property, liability, workers compensation, life and health insurance. The goal, the firm says, is to expand Neace Lukens' footprint in Kentucky.
With Berryman Insurance, the company will be more competitive in the property and casualty insurance and employee benefits brokerage space, they say.
