38 percent have just enough to pay the bills

A survey conducted by Yahoo! And FITNESS Magazine polled 2,000 men and women to see how they spend and save their money. It found that 40 percent of women have just enough cash to cover their monthly bills and nothing else.

A survey conducted by Yahoo! And FITNESS Magazine polled 2,000 men and women to see how they spend and save their money. It found that 40 percent of women have just enough cash to cover their monthly bills and nothing else. Thirty-eight percent of men and women polled said they have enough to pay bills, but no cushion. Twenty-nine percent said they had enough money for emergencies. Thirteen percent said they were stretched thin and behind on bills and 9 percent said they were up to their ears in debt.
