Expatriate employees in Mexico can now access the MetLife provider network of over 700 hospitals and 8,300 health care and medical services providers.

As part of its service, MetLife will process direct payments rather than reimbursements, process local claims in Mexico City, negotiate discounts of 10 percent to 15 percent on health-care services and direct access to 26 Metlife offices at 26 hospitals in Mexico. These offices are home to on-site doctors and administrators employed by MetLife.

"The expansion of our expatriate platform in Mexico is a strategic push that capitalizes on our truly global footprint and accelerates our momentum in the expatriate business segment," says David Nagengast, assistant vice president of Global Employee Benefits.
