Construction, energy employers report hiring difficulty

While two-thirds of employers in the construction, mining and energy industries were hiring full-time positions in fall 2011, approximately half of them say they had difficulty recruiting for specific jobs, according to a Society for Human Resource Management poll.

While two-thirds of employers in the construction, mining and energy industries were hiring full-time positions in fall 2011, approximately half of them say they had difficulty recruiting for specific jobs, according to a Society for Human Resource Management poll.

The poll also finds that the construction, mining, oil and gas industries report better financial health as opposed to the previous year. Another 46 percent of respondents say they were in a significant or mild recovery from the recession from 36 percent in 2010.
