Tennessee jobless face new benefit regs

Commissioner Karla Davis of the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has warned the state's 56,000 unemployment claimants that they will soon be required to prove they are looking for work.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Commissioner Karla Davis of the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has warned the state’s 56,000 unemployment claimants that they will soon be required to prove they are looking for work.

Davis said that beginning in April, claimants also will be required to meet face-to-face with state job service employees.
