The Principal Financial Group added more than 11,000 dentists and specialists to its growing list of in-network dental providers, boosting the total number to 80,000. Dental insurance members now have access to those dentists at more than 180,000 offices and clinics nationwide.
"More in-network providers in more locations, means greater choice, access and cost-savings for our members," said Theresa McConeghey, assistant vice president of dental insurance for The Principal.
Principal Dental network dentists agree to discounted fees and a review of their professional credentials. These discounts translate to lower out-of-pocket costs for members and a lower rate for employers. Members who use an in-network dentist experience a significant savings on dental treatments.
