The U.S. Department of Labor is distributing a $7.7 million National Emergency Grant increment that is to be used to continue funding about 700 temporary jobs for eligible dislocated workers to assist with ongoing cleanup and recovery efforts after severe storms and floods hit southeastern Ohio between April 4 and May 15, 2011.

The grant, which is awarded to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, is to be used to assist the 15 counties: Athens, Belmont, Gallia, Guernsey, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Ross, Scioto, Vinton and Washington.
