Customers in New Jersey can soon literally go shopping for their health insurance.

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey said today it has signed a lease for a retail center it plans to open in Moorestown, N.J.

The center, expected to open this summer, will be staffed by trained personnel to help customers get the latest information on health and wellness, receive answers to health insurance questions and buy health insurance products and services.

The 4,500 square-foot facility will also be equipped with private meeting rooms, interactive work stations for benefits and claims information, and a children's entertainment center.

"We are responding to the dynamic changes in health care by helping our customers, and potential customers, gain a better understanding about their health insurance benefits," Horizon BCBSNJ Chairman and CEO Robert Marino said in a news release. "As consumers are taking on greater responsibility for choosing and financing their health insurance, we want to provide them with a positive and personalized experience to help them make more informed decisions."
