1 in 3 employers allow network access via smartphones

Only 33 percent of chief information officers say employees are allowed to access their companies networks through their personal smartphones, tablets, computers or other devices, according to a new survey by Robert Half Technology, a provider of technology professionals.

Only 33 percent of chief information officers say employees are allowed to access their companies’ networks through their personal smartphones, tablets, computers or other devices, according to a new survey by Robert Half Technology, a provider of technology professionals.

Of the CIOs who say their companies do allow workers to access corporate networks through their own devices, 66 percent say their companies only provide limited technical support to these employees while 28 percent say they offer full support. Six percent of these respondents provide no support.
