Selling the CFO

As employers grapple with the changes caused by health care reform, many will be making a decision on whether or not to drop coverage and send employees to the exchanges. This decision will be based almost exclusively on financial considerations and, as such, will be primarily CFO-driven.

As employers grapple with the changes caused by health care reform, many will be making a decision on whether or not to drop coverage and send employees to the exchanges. This decision will be based almost exclusively on financial considerations and, as such, will be primarily CFO-driven. This presentation will take brokers and agents into the minds of the CFOs who will be making the ultimate decision on whether or not to end employerbased coverage. It will demonstrate that, contrary to what many CFOs may realize, there is a lot more to this decision than the simple “pay the penalty vs. cost of coverage” calculation.
