According to the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, upholding the Affordable Care Act improves the nation's health care safety net for individuals, employers and the government.

"Today's ruling marks a milestone in the discussion of health care in America, but the Affordable Care Act is just the beginning of the process," says Michael Wilson, CEO of International Foundation. "Even with the ACA being upheld, many of our members are still in a wait-and-see mode until after this fall's presidential election."

The recent International Foundation's Health Care Reform: 2012 Employer Actions Update survey finds that 52.1 percent of single-employers and corporations who were first waiting on the decision for health care reform planning and implementation are also awaiting the results of the 2012 presidential and congressional elections.
