California-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers is partnering with VentureLoop to launch VentureLoop HR, a professional employer organization that provides payroll, benefits and human resources specifically for startups and venture-backed companies.

"We pursued the VentureLoop HR concept based on a significant need we identified through our current startup client base," said Jeremy McCarthy, CEO of VentureLoop. "We heard constant feedback that existing providers were extremely inflexible, offered poor service and did not understand that startups don't operate like typical small companies. It was so bad that some investors were not allowing their portfolio companies to use certain service providers due to prior bad experiences."

Through the VentureLoop HR service, employees have access to benefits and plans that can all be accessed through an online self-service portal. VentureLoop HR also has experienced human resources consultants and account managers available to directly assist employees and company administrators with any needs.
